When receiving astrological remedies, ask yourself - Can the remedy be performed with things I find in my ghar-mandir-rasoi (house, temple or kitchen)? Performing remedies in your comfort zone always ensures you will do them regularly. Is the remedy expensive? There is always another option. There are several remedies for each planet, many alternatives. Ask for a remedy that you can afford.

Is this something I would be able to do every day or every week? As I have emphasised many times before, the number of remedies doesn't matter. What matter is how many of those form a habit.

• Which planet should I work on? Because even if you do a tapasya, if it's for something that's not even a problem for you, it doesn't matter. Work on planets that require work.

• Is my ascendant healthy? First and foremost, you ensure your ascendant works in your favour. Everything else comes afterwards.

• Most importantly, please don't ask about one planet in isolation. All planets are affected by other planets, and there are so many things that work in synchronisation. No planet acts alone. So saying my rahu is in this house, my shani is in that sign will never get you accurate advice.
